*F. Matthias Alexander, The Theory and Practice of a New Method of Respiratory Re-Education (FMA 1907), published originally as a pamphlet and then included in all editions of Man's Supreme Inheritance. This is the most extensive exposition of Alexander's teaching on breath.

*Ron Dennis, Ed.D., "The Theory and Practice of Alexander's Breathing Method" (RD 2019), AmSAT Journal No.15 Summer 2019. This article makes the case that BPP is virtually the same as the method that Alexander described in FMA 1907.el

*Ron Dennis, Ed.D. and others, "Alexandrians in Full: Reclaiming an Essential Dimension of Use" (RD 2025). This article shows that BPP is an approach not only to optimal breath but also to optimal postural quality, and that we need jointly to understand and cultivate Alexander's "position of mechanical advantage" together with that of "the great principle of antagonistic action."

*Ron Dennis, Ed.D., "Back to Beginnings in BPP: Evolution of a Technique" (RD 2025b). An autobiographical account, with references to sources and key insights, of BPP's 40-year history.

*Ron Dennis, Ed.D., "The Ins and Outs of It: Whispered Ah and BPP" (RD 2025c). The BPP approach to this foundational Alexandrian practice.

Ron Dennis, Ed.D., "The Three Dimensions of Use" . This article shows how the concept of "posturality" as one dimension is related together with those of "actionality" and "ethicality," to that of Use.

Ron Dennis, Ed.D.,"How We Learn the Alexander Technique". AmSAT Journal No. 7 Spring 2015. This article introduces the foundational concept of "cognitive-proprioceptive model" (CPM), which is the representation in memory of the very rich psycho-physical experiences of Alexander lessons.
